Calvary Health Care Bethlehem Christmas Appeal  Give a Real Gift this Christmas

This December, Calvary Health Care Bethlehem is running an appeal for donations in support of a very important program run by the hospital, the Creative Connections Program.

The Creative Connections Program was established in 2008 to support families with children who are preparing for or have experienced the death of someone they love. The program offers children up to the age of 18, ways of expressing and exploring the complex emotions that accompany end of life and bereavement through creative outlets such as music and art therapy.

Donations and sponsorships ensure that Calvary Health Care Bethlehem can sustain its existing high quality services, make capital and program improvements, and develop new initiatives that will benefit patient care and provide comfort when it is most needed. As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely on the generosity of patients, individual donors, community groups and corporate supporters to supplement government funding. Donations are made in the following ways:

• A single or annual gift
• A donation in memory of a loved one
• In response to an appeal
• A bequest
• Sponsorships and in kind partnerships.

Donations are valued resources within Calvary Health Care Bethlehem and help us to continue the Sisters of Little Company of Mary’s mission of caring for the sick and the dying.

All donations of $2.00 and over are tax deductible and donors may specify the purposes for which the funds are to be used. However, gifts for unspecified purposes help us to flexibly respond to the most urgent needs.

• For credit card donations, call 03 9596 2853 or print and complete the donation form (above) and either fax it to 03 9596 3576 or post it to the address below.

In-Memoriam Donations
Many families find comfort in making a gift to Calvary Health Care Bethlehem in lieu of flowers, in recognition of the medical care and attention provided to a loved one who has recently died. We are grateful for these gifts, which allow us to purchase much needed equipment that will bring comfort to our patients. We have In-Memoriam donation envelopes that can be given to families and their chosen funeral director on request. These envelopes are usually made available at the funeral and will be obtained on request by the Funeral Director. The money collected at the funeral is forwarded to Calvary Health Care Bethlehem by either the family or the Funeral Director. Money is also received via the post from family and friends who have received an envelope at the funeral service and decided to make a donation at a later date.
