Calvary Health
Care Bethlehem (CHCB) is a not for profit sub-acute health service
funded by the Victorian Department of Health. It is a service of
the Little Company of Mary Health Care, a national organization
providing high quality values-based care and support for those who
are sick, dying and in need. The Little Company of Mary Health Care
comprises 26 health facilities situated across five states in
Australia. Calvary Health Care Bethlehem is one of these health
facilities and is located in Caulfield, Victoria.
We are stewards of the
heritage of compassionate care begun by the Sisters of the Little
Company of Mary, who came to Australia in 1885.
Over the past 120 years, the
Sisters have built up a respected reputation in Australia for the
provision of high quality care founded in the Christian ethos. In
the spirit of the Founder, Venerable Mary Potter’s vision of “Being
for others”, Little Company of Mary Health Care is committed to
excellence in health care.
Foundational to the
spirituality of Mary Potter was the recognition of, and deep respect
for, the unique dignity and beauty of the human person and a desire
that all persons experience the care and concern of others.
We bring the healing ministry of Jesus to those who are sick, dying
and in need through "being for others":
-
In the Spirit of Mary,
standing by her Son on Calvary;
-
Through the provision
of quality, responsive and compassionate health and aged care
services;
-
Based on Gospel
values; and
-
In celebration of the
rich heritage and story of the Sisters of the Little Company of
Mary.
At CHCB our vision as a
Catholic Health, Community and Aged Care provider, is to excel and
be recognised, as a continuing source of healing, hope and
nurturing, to the people and communities we serve.
