Based on our values of hospitality, healing, stewardship and respect, the management and staff of Calvary Health Care Bethlehem recognises, protects and promotes the rights of each person receiving care, the partnership with health care providers and ensures that personal dignity and autonomy are upheld at all times.

Your Stay

What you need to bring to hospital

  • Toiletries
  • Clothing -  comfortable day and night wear
  • Medication -  being all medications so the pharmacist can review them
  • Money -  a small amount for newspapers etc
  • Continence equipment - as needed
  • Wheelchair & walking aids - clearly marked

Electrical Equipment
You will have access to your own ceiling television, free of charge. Any audio visual equipment must have ear phones. You will have access to your own landline telephone. You may also bring in your own mobile telephone.  

Laundry Facilities
Please discuss different alternatives with the nurse unit manager.

Meals & nutrition
Specially prepared meals for medical, religious or cultural needs can be catered for. Morning and afternoon tea is also served.

Every effort will be made to accommodate individual needs however a single room is not always available.
