available to assist patients to manage their physical symptoms (such as changes
in communication, swallowing or mobility), and to support patients and their
families with psychosocial issues (such as cognitive change, home support,
grief and psychological adjustment).
Speech Pathology
Our speech pathologists help patients manage
functional changes – such as communication impairment, swallowing difficulty
and secretion management issues – by providing information and strategies to
alleviate discomfort and maintain best function, as well as providing ongoing
support, education and counselling as symptoms change during the course of the
disease.
Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapists

the environment, providing adaptive equipment, and exploring alternate ways to
complete activities.

With appropriate individual exercise programs,
chest physiotherapy and pain control, our physiotherapists aim to achieve

counselling and support for the patient and their family, advocacy and
practical assistance, case management, and discharge planning.
Neuropsychology
